Hello! Yesterday I posted Cheese-filled Hamburger Sliders. Well, if you have leftovers… You could always eat it as is, make a breakfast burger out of it or you could attempt a meat version of my Vegetable Scramble. You could use this as a topper for toasted bread, in a breakfast burrito, or even alone. The ideas are endless.
You may be asking, “How?” Elementary, my dear watson, elementary.
All you have to do is crumble leftover hamburger and just make the scramble as usual, adding the meat in with the vegetables. If you would not like to click my lovely link above, the full instructions are below:
First off, take your vegetables and chop them up into bite-sized pieces.
In this example I am using onion and spinach and used about 1/4 of an onion and a handful of spinach for around 3/4 to a cup of vegetables for every 2 eggs, but if you prefer more or less eggs, feel free to change as needed.
Next, melt around 1/2 tablespoon of butter in a pan on low heat.
After it is melted, add your vegetables (ADD MEAT HERE) to the pan and give it a stir. Also, add 1/2 tablespoon of garlic if wanted.
Meanwhile, mix 2 eggs in a bowl.
Continue to mix your vegetables until the onions look yellowed and the vegetables cooked.
Time to add the eggs!
Let it sit for a minute to set slightly, then cook as if you were making scrambled eggs, stirring occasionally.
Continue to stir and add in a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
Once the eggs are cooked all the way through, they are ready to be eaten! This is also the time to add in cheese if you would like. 🙂 Pour onto your plate and voila! Feel free to eat as is or throw into a tortilla to create a delicious breakfast burrito.
And tada! Your lovely hamburger scramble.
